SECHELT ARTS FESTIVAL
REGISTRATION AND AGREEMENT TO SHOW ARTWORKS
DATE OF EXHIBITION AUGUST 1ST TO AUGUST 8TH, 2009
PRESENTATION OF WORK
- Work must be exhibition ready (complete with hanging wire installed). Glass or plexi glass should protect pastels, watercolours, graphics etc.
- "Clip" or similarly styled frames will not be accepted.
- All works must be transported privately by the exhibitor.
- Any works requiring special handling must be discussed with staff on delivery of the art to the exhibition venue.
- The artist must complete the attached registration form showing Title, Medium, ground and dimensions. A short "Artist's Statement" is required to hang with your work. Please keep to one paragraph max. half a page
- The artist must supply sale price for works which are for sale and insurance value for works not for sale.
- All registrations must be received no later than Saturday July 25, 2009 in order that labels may be created.
- The SAF Coordinators reserve the right to determine final arrangement and installation of all works on exhibition.
- The Artist may not remove or change any work during the exhibition without the coordinators approval.
DELIVERY AND PICKUP OF WORK
The artist will deliver their work to the Seaside Center: 5790 Teredo St, Sechelt BC between 9 am and 12 pm Friday July 31, 2009. All art will be hung for exhibition in the afternoon. This is the only venue this year.
Artists will pick up their work at the Seaside Center on Sunday August 9, 2009 between 9 am and 12 pm. If any person other than the artist is picking up work; they must be in possession of the contract and a signed authorization from the artist otherwise art work will not be released.
SALES
All sales are handled by the Sechelt Arts Festival staff. All PST is the responsibility of the artist please price your works accordingly. There are no commissions charged. All sold works must remain until the end of the exhibition unless approved by the coordinator.
INSURANCE
Works are covered by insurance while on Exhibit. "Clip" style frames are uninsurable. Works with unlisted insurance value or sales value shall be considered uninsured. In the event of a claim all values are subject to appraisal by the Insurance Adjuster. Works are not covered by insurance in transit. The Sechelt Arts Festival or its staff will not be responsible for work left after the agreed pickup date and such work will be uninsured.
RECEPTION
At the Seaside center on Saturday August 1, 2009 between 5pm and 7 pm, Refreshments will be served.
